DGM recently completed a factory test of a customized MEGAFOLD 1650 SL folder gluer, developed to meet a customer’s specific packaging requirements. During the test, the machine successfully processed crash-lock bottom boxes with short creasing lines, applying two silicon tapes with high precision and consistent positioning.

To ensure stable folding and reliable gluing after the silicon tape application, DGM integrated a bump & turn device into the machine configuration. This additional unit allows cartons to be properly reoriented after tape application, ensuring smooth downstream folding and gluing without compromising box integrity or production stability.

The successful test demonstrates the flexibility of the DGM MEGAFOLD 1650 SL, which is not only suitable for standard straight-line boxes, crash-lock boxes, and 4 & 6 corner boxes, but can also be adapted for special packaging structures through customized configurations. Based on each customer’s product design and production needs, DGM provides tailored packaging solutions and develops dedicated machine setups to achieve reliable and efficient production.

Before shipment, every DGM folder gluer undergoes a strict factory testing process, regardless of whether special testing is requested by the customer. This ensures that each machine leaves the factory in stable operating condition and is ready for immediate production upon installation.
